Things I Like

On this page, you will find a variety of products and services that I like.  These are things that I use to help me get or stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

I'm recommending them to you here because I think they could be helpful to you too.  The links here will take you to the particular item that I use.  But in general, if my choice wouldn't be your choice, know that in most cases I'm also recommending the general category as a means for improving your overall wellness.

There are many red light therapy options, both smaller and larger than the one that I'm recommending by Hooga.  I like this one because it seems to be the best "bang for your buck" without compromising on quality in the least.  If you have the budget for something larger, go for it.

I use it primarily as a sleep aid, sometime in the hours before bed, and I have really found it to be a helpful addition to my bedtime regimen.

I've found this Vibration plate from LifePro to be a great addition to my overall health and wellness plan.   I have one in my office and use it first thing when I arrive each morning as a way of waking up my muscles and getting my various systems flowing.

I don't use it as a platform for working out, although some do recommend that as an option. There are some more impressive versions if your budget permits, but I've been pretty happy with this one for the purposes that I use it for.

Sauna use is amazing for all the reasons listed above (and more).  But it doesn't always fit into your schedule to visit a sauna, and an at-home version can be fairly cost-prohibitive.
For those reasons, I've opted for this sauna blanket by LifePro.  It offers an extremely relaxing session for getting your sweat on.  I love mine.

Pull Up Bar

  • The king of upper body movements
  • Fits door frames (even with thicker molding)
  • Extremely strong and sturdy

I have one of these in my office as well and use it to knock out multiple sets as I'm walking about throughout the day.  No matter if you can only hang (a wonderfully healthy movement) or can manage sets of a dozen or more, there really is no better upper body movement than this one.

This is one that I personally have no idea how to verify.  If you have room in your life to walk around barefoot outside, you might not need one of these. But, if you believe the studies and the experts as I do,  you might want to work a grounding practice into your life.

I am a big-time fan of cold water therapy.  Cold showers are great, but cold water immersion is even better.  I've upgraded from the version you see here, but for a budget-friendly introduction, you really can't go wrong with this ice tub.

I feel so much more alert and ready for life's challenges after I've done my ice bath.  I think it's fair to say that this one can become a healthy addiction.
